Antigone

Antigone was performed at Newbridge School 2006. This new adaption of a sophocles classic explored the politics of the modern world - via an ancient greek tradegy.

In ancient Greece free speech is both questioned and challenged. In 2006 a cartoon causes widespread rioting, a man is imprisoned for speaking his beliefs whilst another man is not imprisoned for speaking his.

In Association with Mal Smith the production involved extremely talented youths aged 16-25.
